The SellMasters management team is comprised of successful entrepreneurs and business executives with years of experience working within and supporting the high-technology, Internet, software, hardware, and professional services industries.

Chris Deren
Chief Executive Officer
Chris is a high-tech industry veteran with over 25 years of experience in building entrepreneurial teams, leading world-class sales organizations, and identifying and executing against winning go-to-market strategies for companies such as IBM, Xerox and Dun & Bradstreet. Most recently, Chris held the positions of VP of sales and VP of business development at ServiceSoft and later Broadbase Software (now Kana Software). As employee #6, Chris built the national sales team infrastructure as the company grew to 550 employees and was later sold for $650 Million. Chris was also personally responsible for winning, among others, the key accounts of IBM, Intel, Cisco, Motorola, GTE and Wang. Chris also created ServiceSoft's successful reseller relationships with EDS and IBM. Chris regularly speaks at industry events on topics ranging from sales coaching and leadership to building and sustaining successful reseller relationships with major organizations.

John Orvos
Founder and Chief Coach
John founded SellMasters in 1999 to help high-tech sales professionals and companies improve sales performance. He is a well-known speaker and coach and the author of the Four Faces™ of Sales, which is a step-by-step methodology that teaches sales people how to prospect, present and close more sales. With more than 15 years of sales credentials, he brings unique and fresh perspectives and a practical approach that creates a culture of sales excellence. He has worked extensively in the telecom, financial, technology and services industries. A former National Champion in fencing, John began his career at RR Donnelley & Sons, where he handled the accounts of major publishers. Mr. Orvos left Donnelley to become one of the major principals at Image Info, Inc., where he initiated the company's sales efforts and was responsible for hiring, managing and training the entire sales team. Applying his strategies and innovative techniques, he helped grow the company which was sold for $45 million within 5 years.

Amanda DeBurro
Vice President of Operations
Amanda overseas the day-to-day operations of SellMasters, as well as the delivery of programs and services for strategic accounts. Previously, she worked at Broadbase Software, where she managed strategic alliances with EDS and IBM and was responsible for the design and execution of all sales and marketing plans with those partners. Amanda also served as the main interface between Broadbase Software and the EDS/IBM sales and business development groups. As the director of sales and marketing for SmartSource Corporation, Amanda orchestrated a complete overhaul of SmartSource's marketing programs and led the selling effort that resulted in major account wins with InfoUSA, Donnelley Marketing, Corporate Software and many others. Previously, Amanda held executive sales positions with Standard Register, a provider of electronic document management solutions where she was responsible for major healthcare accounts including Harvard/Pilgram and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.

Dan Cote
Vice President of Marketing
Dan is responsible for SellMasters' online and offline marketing initiatives, communications programs and overall brand development. Prior to SellMasters he founded StreamAhead LLC, an internet video marketing services firm that helps companies market, sell and train online using streaming video and audio. He has 15 years of marketing experience working for high-tech, software, Internet and communications companies, including Agfa Corporation, Servicesoft, 100X, and nSight. Dan combines a unique blend of traditional and Internet marketing experience, creative and analytical thinking, business intelligence, and technology adeptness. He holds a BSBA degree from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and is actively involved in the Lowell community.
